Ruislip Baptist Church
In November 2015, Sound Analysts were awarded the contract to install a complete sound and visual system in the Sanctuary at Ruislip Baptist Church. The ’60’s’ style building presented some unique challenges, in particular the 180 degree layout of the main worship space with fixed tiered seating.
‘we considered several options for the loudspeaker speaker configuration including flown arrays and individual wall mounted cabinets. In the end, we opted for the latter – the maximum throw was 12M and with precise positioning of the enclosures we could achieve even distribution of sound throughout with minimal visual intrusion’
The speaker system consisted of EM Acoustics EMS series enclosures mounted on the rear wall with further sub-bass and front-fill cabinets mounted under the newly extended stage. An Allen & Heath QU-32 console located at the rear of the centre seating block formed the heart of the control system.
A Stumpfl Full White 4.5M wide fixed screen was the centre piece of the projection system with an assortment of 50″ and 65″ LED screens covering side seating areas and speaker/musician support.
Custom made acoustic baffles at the rear of the stage help reduce the sound reflections in the platform area.
